We are a 250-person company with an advanced and rapidly expanding IT infrastructure, seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining and evolving our sophisticated technical environment.

Role Overview:
As our Infrastructure Operations Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing a complex and growing technological ecosystem. Our infrastructure includes over 100 virtual Linux servers utilizing almost 1000 CPU cores, processing over 200 million records. You’ll oversee a MongoDB cluster handling nearly 50 million daily queries and data pipelines executing 8 million operations monthly. This environment has experienced 15-fold growth in just eight years, with acceleration ongoing.

5. Performance Optimization: You’ll be expected to continually improve the efficiency and reliability of our systems as we scale.
6. Passion for Technology: We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves this stuff – someone who gets excited about new technologies and complex challenges.
7. Automation Mindset: You should be enthusiastic about using tools like Ansible to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall system efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include running, maintaining, and growing:
- MongoDB and Elastic clusters
- Kubernetes environments
- Proxmox virtualization clusters
- Assorted MySQL servers, WordPress installations, and other CMS systems
- Various performance monitoring and logging systems
- Ansible for configuration management and automation
And also:
- Ensuring network security
- Troubleshooting complex issues across the entire infrastructure
- Capacity planning to meet current and future needs
- Documentation of systems, processes, and procedures
- Continuous improvement of systems and workflows
- Implementing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructures
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration
- Proficiency in database management and optimization
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) for managing Ansible playbooks and other infrastructure code
